This information provides general guidance for selecting and implementing Best Management Practices (BMPs) that will eliminate or reduce the discharge of pollutants from construction sites to waters of the state and developing and implementing stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs) that document the selection and implementation of BMPs for a particular construction project.
California Building Codes
Building Codes are based from the 2006 IBC & IRC(International Building Codes and International Residential Code). California Counties have until June 2008 to adopt and amend these codes to their County Building Codes. There are some changes that effect the building industry in our area, please see the links below to keep up-to-date on code changes. Placer County is keeping us informed on all changes, see links below. We recommend everyone reviews the Chapter 7A (Wildland Urban Interface Building Code).
