Only licensed contractors can perform all repair work over $500.  It's the law and it protects you.

Find the right contractor for your project!

Small Projects ~ Search through our membership lists of contractors and construction related business.  It's easy....just click the button on the left "Contractors Search".  You can also post your construction needs on our Small Project PCCA Job Board for only our members to view.  Our contactors will contact you to bid your project.  Your project will be removed after 30 days. 

 

Larger projects ~  Submitting your plans for competitive bid is the right choice.  Competitive bidding allows you to receive and choose the best and fair price for the job.

 

Make sure your contractor measures up.

 

1. Hire only licensed contractors...search for a contractor through the PCCA
2. Check the contractors license number through the CSLB
3. Get three references, review past work
4. Get a written contract and don't sign anything until you completely understand the terms
5. Pay 10% down, or $1000 which ever is less
6. Don't let payments get ahead of work.
7. Keep records of all payments
8. Do not pay in cash
9. Keep a job file of all papers related to your project
